We regularly receive questions about the options to send a proforma invoice using MICE. Although this is not possible, we do have an alternative: downloading and sharing a concept invoice.

A concept invoice has no invoice number and is therefore not an official invoice (yet). Concept invoices can be deleted anytime.

Downloading and sharing a concept invoice

A concept invoice is shared by first opening and downloading the invoice. The concept invoice is then downloaded as a PDF file which can be sent to a contact.

Step 1: Open a concept invoice by going to 'billing' or via an event

OR create a new concept invoice in an event

Step 2: Above the concept invoice, select the 'download' button and choose 'PDF'

Step 3: A preview of the file is shown. Download the invoice. How to do this depends on your browser. In Google Chrome, click the download button (see image below)

Step 4: The concept invoice is downloaded as a PDF file. Go the messages in an event and share the file

OR share the file via email

Step 5: Done!🥳
