Blocking days (PRO)

There are days when your company is closed, thus not available for events. Within MICE, it is easy to block days for requests. This ensures that clients are not able to request an event via the request for proposal widget.

Pay attention! A day is blocked for clients only. Your event planners can still create events on this day.

Tip: We recommend to limit blocking days to a minimum. You will lose conversion due to clients not turning in requests while perhaps suitable alternatives can be offered.

How to block days?

This can be done via the list, calendar and occupancy view.

Via the list view

Step 1: Go to planning via the main menu

Step 2: Go to the day you want to block for requests

Step 3: Click the 3 dots '...' and choose 'block for requests'

Step 4: The day is blocked and is not available in the request for proposal widget

Via the calendar view

Step 1: Go to calendar via the main menu

Step 2: Put the calendar in monthly view for convenience

Step 3: Hover your mouse over the day you want to block for requests

Step 4: Click the "Block for requests" button that appears at the bottom right of the box (the button looks like a crossed box)

Step 5: The day is blocked and is not available in the request for proposal widget

Via the occupancy view

Step 1: Go to occupancy via the main menu

Step 2: Put the calendar in monthly view for convenience

Step 3: Hover your mouse over the day you want to block for requests

Step 4: Then click on the "Block for requests" button that appears at the bottom right of the box (the button looks like a crossed box).

Step 5: The day is blocked and is not available in the request for proposal widget
