Your MICE e-mail address
Messages sent from your MICE account are sent from your organisation's MICE e-mail address. This e-mail address can be found in setup at 'integrations' (under 'settings') and looks like this: [company name]@app.miceoperations.com
Responses to a message sent from the system
If someone responds to a message in MICE Operations, it is sent back to the e-mail address of the person who sent it (unless the e-mail address has been overwritten) and to your MICE e-mail address: [company name]@app.miceoperations.com. As a result, the message ends up in the right event's message inbox and the general inbox.
Responses to automatic messages are sent back to the event planner linked to the event (unless the email address has been overwritten).
Overwrite email address
Responses to messages to a central or different email address
If you do not want the messages to be sent to a user's email address but to a different or central email address, you can overwrite your email address. For this purpose, you can add a different email address to overwrite email addresses in the management environment for users.
Go to setup > users where you can overwrite the user's email address.
Notifications (e.g. after a request or confirmed quotation) and all replies from clients are sent to the email address mentioned at 'override email adress'.
Note that personal tasks are still sent to the user's email address.
🔗 Attachments also added as links in messages by default
If attachments are added to a message, they are now also added as links to the message (at the bottom) by default. Furthermore, only safe files up to a maximum of 10mb are actually sent as attachments. The links are valid for 6 months.
Some mail servers remove attachments from messages to protect the recipient from unwanted files. To prevent recipients not receiving your files, attachments are now also available as links by default in messages from MICE. This ensures that the recipient can open all attached files.
Safe files (certain MIME types) are actually added to messages as attachments. Safe files include, for example, photos, videos, audio files and certain text files.
Unsafe files are added as links. An example of unsafe files are Microsoft Office files.
