Blocking days (MICE Pro)

There are days when your company is closed, thus not available for events. Within MICE, it is easy to block days for requests. This ensures that clients are not able to request an event via the request for proposal widget.

How to block days for requests?

This can be done via all the different planning views:

Blocking days for requests is only available with MICE Pro.


1. Via the planning (list view)

Step 1: Go to planning via the main menu.

Step 2: Go to the day you want to block for requests.

Step 3: Click the 3 dots '...' and choose 'block for requests'.

Step 4: The day is blocked and is not available in the request for proposal widget.


2. Via the calendar view

Step 1: Go to calendar via the main menu.

Step 2: Put the calendar in monthly view for convenience.

Step 3: Hover your mouse over the day you want to block for requests.

Step 4: Click the "Block for requests" button that appears at the bottom right of the box (the button looks like a crossed box).

Step 5: The day is blocked and is not available in the request for proposal widget.


3. Via the occupancy view

Step 1: Go to occupancy via the main menu.

Step 2: Put the calendar in monthly view for convenience.

Step 3: Hover your mouse over the day you want to block for requests.

Step 4: Then click on the "Block for requests" button that appears at the bottom right of the box (the button looks like a crossed box).

Step 5: The day is blocked and is not available in the request for proposal widget.


❗Pay attention! A day is blocked for clients only. Your event planners can still create events on a blocked day.

💡Tip: Tip: Limit blocking days as much as possible. As an event planner, you can often offer good alternatives, ensuring you don not miss out on unnecessary conversions.

Currently, it is only possible to block a day for all spaces.

Can I block multiple days at once?

No, you can block one day at a time.
