You have been added as a user to your employer or cooperation partner's MICE account. To log into the system, you first need to complete a few simple steps. In this article, we will explain step by step how to activate your account and explain the main functions of the system so you can get started right away!

Activate account

After you have been added as a user, an e-mail will automatically be sent to the e-mail address linked to your user account.

Step 1: Open the received e-mail (subject is 'Your MICE Operations account').

Step 2: In the e-mail, click on the 'activate your account' button.

Step 3: You are now in the screen to activate your account. Enter your first and last name and a password for your account.

Step 4: Click on continue. Your account is now created and you are already logged in, so you can get started right away.

Crew authorities

As a crew user, you have access to certain planning views and have insight into your personal tasks. Switch between schedules and tasks in the main menu (on the left-hand side of the screen).

Planning

Different planning views

In MICE, you can use 3 different planning views:

  • Planning (list view): events clearly displayed in a list

  • Calendar: events in a clear calendar

  • Occupancy: events per day per location

Custom planning views

If you have access to several custom planning views, you can switch between them by clicking on the custom planning view names (available in 'planning').

Search and filter in the planning

Search for events

The planning gives you an overview of all events. Search for a specific event using the search function in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

Filter on events

Do you want to show only certain events? Then use the filters in the schedule. You can filter by location, event type and event status(es).

Date range

Set the date range to show events within a certain period. First click on day 1 of the series and then click on the last day of the series. In the meantime, change the month if necessary via the arrows listed next to the month.

Personal tasks

You have insight into your personal tasks. The task boards have 2 different views:

  • list view: a well-organised list with all tasks listed below each other.

  • Kanban board: an overview with different phases.

Switch between both views via the button below (see image).

View your personal tasks and tick them off as soon as they are completed (in the list view) or drag them to another phase (in the Kanban board).

If applicable, you can switch between task boards by clicking on the task boards themselves.

Task notifications

Each user can set up a notification e-mail containing all tasks associated with the user. Every morning you will receive an email with:

  • Tasks scheduled for today

  • Expired tasks

Activate the notification mail by clicking on your initials at the top right of the screen and then 'edit profile'. Turn on 'enable daily email' and click save.

FAQ

The system indicates that no user exists with the email/password combination. What now?

Check with your colleague which e-mail address is linked to your account and use this e-mail address. If the message still appears after this, the password you entered is incorrect and must be reset. Click on 'forgotten password' and enter your e-mail address. An e-mail will be sent with further instructions.

I immediately get to a login screen and cannot set a password. How is that possible?

Usually, a user account already exists which is linked to the e-mail address. If you have lost the login details of this account, it is best to request a new password.
