It is often desirable to share your general terms and conditions or other attachments with the client. In MICE, you can easily add the general terms and conditions used for quotes and request for proposal widget. With the exception of the general terms and conditions, it is not possible to add standard attachments to messages. You can read more about this in this article.
Add standard general terms and conditions
General terms and conditions can be uploaded via setup > settings > company data.
The general terms and conditions file is automatically added to:
quote emails
the request for proposal widget
General terms and conditions in the quote email
By default, you can include your general terms and conditions in the quotation message. When sending the quotation, the option to include the general terms and conditions is automatically selected. The file is then attached to the e-mail.
Several different general terms and conditions for quotations?
Are your general terms and conditions linked to the type of event being organised? Then it is advisable to create a quotation template for each type of event and add an extra tab in which you place the general conditions.
General terms and conditions in the request widget
In the request for proposal widget, in the last step (entering contact details), people must also accept your general terms and conditions before the request can be submitted.
A selection field is added to the last step that people can tick and thereby agree to the general terms and conditions.
Standard attachments possible?
With the exception of the general terms and conditions, it is not possible to add standard attachments to messages. The more .pdf files you add to an e-mail, the longer it will take for it to be sent. More importantly, it increases the likelihood that the e-mail will not arrive in full with attachment, or will even be rejected by the recipient's e-mail server. This can occur, for example, at companies with strict e-mail safeguards or mail servers with strict spam filters (such as government agencies, law firms, banks, etcetera).
Add links rather than attachments to your messages
Add links to your messages instead of attachments. You do this by selecting the text and clicking on the 'link' icon. Here you can enter the link.
A link to a document
You can put a document online, for example, by placing it on your website domain or by sharing it publicly in, for example, Google drive.

A link to a page on your website
For information such as a route description it is advisable to put this on your website and to put a link to the correct page in the (automatic) message. This way, information stays up-to-date by editing it on your page.
Maximum attachment file size limit
Do you still want to add an attachment? There is a limit of about 20mb of attachments.
