The request widget sends a number of Google Analytics events that allow you to measure the use of the widget. In the Google Analytics dashboard, you can use these events to analyse conversions.

Note that the necessary experience is required to set up Google Analytics.

The request widget sends 3 different events during the application process:

Event name

Application

mice_widget_pageview

Sent at each step after loading the step/page.

mice_widget_complete_step

Sent at each (intermediate) step after saving the step.

mice_widget_submit

Conversion - Sent at the last step after sending the request.

More insight with Tag Manager

The above events contain much more information about the content and progress of the request. With Google Tag Manager (GTM), you can use this information in detail, just the way you want it.

Request widget in popup (via script code/plugin)

When you embed the request widget in your website via the plugin or script code, the events will be sent to the Google Analytics Tracking ID(s) of your website as well as to the Google Analytics Tracking ID set up in MICE Operations.

Request widget outside your website

Is the request module link opened outside your website (not embedded)? Then the events will only be sent to the Google Analytics Tracking ID you have set up in MICE Operations.

Setting up tracking ID

To set up the Google Analytics Tracking ID, go to Setup > Widgets. In the settings form, then click step 1 ("Options") and choose the "Extra settings" tab. See the image below.

Please note that this is a Google Analytics Tracking ID and does not support a Google Tag Manager container ID.

Where can you find the information?

In Google Analytics 4, you can find the events under Reports > User behaviour studies > Events.
