Some packages you do not constantly offer. In this situation, you want to avoid these packages being presented to the client in the request for proposal tool. How do you set this up within MICE?
Although it is not possible to deactivate or hide a package, there is a way to ensure that packages are not available in the request widget, but are still visible to personnel in the back office.
Making packages available for internal purposes only is easily achieved by following these two steps:
1. Set internal event type
In the setup environment, create a new event type, for example with the name ‘internal’. While creating, you can set that the event type is not available in the request widget (as shown in the image below).
Tip: keep the internal event type so you can also link other packages (and locations) to this that are not available for requests.
2. Linking packages to internal event type
After an internal event type has been created in your system, you can link packages to it. You do this via ‘packages’ in the setup environment. Open a package and scroll down to the option ‘available for event types’ and select the internal event type here. Do not forget to save the changes.
The package is now not available in the request widget, but can be used by staff in the back office.
