In MICE, you can easily duplicate an event (in series) so that a new event is created and the content is copied from the duplicated event. It is also possible to copy a day within an event (for multi-day events).

In this article we explain how to:

Duplicate an event

Step 1: Search for the event in the planning or via the main search bar at the top of your screen.

Step 2: Select the desired event.

Step 3: In the event dashboard, click on the 'gear' icon at the top right (see image below).

Step 4: Click 'copy event' (see image above).

Step 5: Select a date and optionally change the event name and status

Step 6 (optional): Create a series

It is also possible to duplicate an event repeatedly by specifying the frequency at 'repeat'.

Note that if you are duplicating an event in a series, they become separate events. These can only be modified separately (so not in a series).

Copy a day in an event (for multi-day events)

If you are planning a multi-day event in which the basis of the days are very similar, it is useful to copy a day in the event. This way the day's content is copied to save you time. In the copied day you can, of course, edit any information if desired.

But how do you copy a day in an event?

Step 1: Search for the event in the planning, or use the search bar at the of your screen.

Step 2: Click on the event you want to duplicate

Step 3: Click on the three dots next to the day you want to copy (see image below)

Step 4: Select 'copy event'

Step 5: The day has been copied

Note that the duplicated day will be added after the last event day.

Change date of an event day

You can optionally change dates of days to create a multi-day event with non-consecutive days. All days are added to the quote, invoice and any other document.
