To activate the integration between MICE and Zenchef, several steps need to be completed. This guide explains step by step what actions are required to successfully set up the integration.
The following steps are required to activate the integration:
1. Create the integration connection in Zenchef
In your Zenchef account, go to:
Settings > Integrations > Partners
or visit: https://app.zenchef.com/zw#/parameters/partnersFind the MICE Operations app.
Click Connect.✅
Team MICE will receive a notification and contact you with general information and instructions.
2. Creating and sharing an API key and an overview
To set up the integrations, the MICE support team needs two things from you: an API key (2a) and an overview of the spaces and areas to be linked (2b).
Please send us the API key and the overview via the chat in the system, or email them to support@miceoperations.com.
2a. Creating and sharing an API key
The MICE team needs an API key to retrieve and link spaces. You can create this yourself in MICE.
In MICE, go to Setup > Integrations > API keys (or click here).
Create a new API key with the name ‘Zenchef’.
Copy the API key.
2b. Share an overview of spaces and areas
When activating the integration, we link spaces from your MICE account to areas in Zenchef. To do this, we need an overview indicating, for each MICE space you want to link, the corresponding Zenchef area it should be linked to. Make sure to use the current names from both accounts.

Not every space in MICE needs to be linked.
It is possible to link multiple MICE spaces to a single Zenchef area.
It is not possible to link a single MICE space to multiple Zenchef areas.

3. The integration is activated soon🎉
Once all the necessary information has been provided, the MICE team will get to work. We also carry out a check to ensure that the integration can find rooms and tables (to book). We will then let you know that the integration is ready and ask for your approval before it is actually activated.
Activities from future events in your MICE account, scheduled in linked spaces, will be synchronised with Zenchef.
After the initial synchronisation/reservation creation, only updates will be applied.
❗Important: If manual reservations for future MICE events already exist in Zenchef, please delete them to avoid duplicates. The integration does not take into account any existing reservations Zenchef (this ensures that no MICE reservations are ever missed in Zenchef).
