Creating products

To create new products and edit existing products, go to setup (via the gear icon in the navigation bar) en select 'products' in the left menu. Now click the '+ add product' button to add a new product, or click the more button to import products.

Add a product picture

The picture is shown under 'more info' (info icon) in the request for proposal widget.

Product descriptions

There are 4 different input fields for products available:

  1. Name: Name of the product

  2. Short description: A short product description, visible for clients in the widget and, if set, in a quote's and document's schedule. The text format cannot be changed.

  3. Long description: Use the long description field to provide an extensive product description shown in the widget, quotes and documents. The text format can be edited (ordered lists, bold, italic and underlined text, etc.)

  4. Internal description: Add product information for internal usage to this field, shown in the widget, quotes and documents. The text format can be edited (ordered lists, bold, italic and underlined text, etc.)

Price

Add the price at the correct VAT rate.

Split VAT rates:

It is possible to split VAT rates per product. Select a VAT rate and enter the corresponding price.

Example

1 employee is paid €15,- per hour. Thus, the amount ('Price') becomes €15,-.
At 'amount per item' enter 8 and at unit select 'hour' (see image below).

Having set the abovementioned options, automatically 1 x 8 x 15 is calculated. You can change these product details in an event later on. Useful in case the employee worked for less or more than 8 hours. The total costs will be calculated automatically again.

Product category

Select a product category. This will show the products under the correct category. You can use product categories and labels to filter searches in MICE.

Cost price (MICE Pro)

By entering the cost price of products, profit margins are shown in events.

This product is not tied to the number of guests.

Select this option if the product does not need to be multiplied by the number of guests.

Guests cannot select this product.

Select this option if the product needs to be hidden from clients in the client account.
